Idea Lab
Bring a half-formed idea into a generous room. Members can take a hot seat to pitch a project, story, small business, or invention and receive thoughtful “yes, and” feedback—or the whole group can brainstorm from bold questions.

How the hour flows
5 min: Introductions. Three 15-min hot seats for members who want to share. Take 2 minutes to give an elevator pitch: explain the problem, your solution, your target market or audience, and why people would want what you are creating. Spend 8 minutes on generous “yes, and” ideas. Praise what works and share weaknesses gently—weaknesses are opportunities to improve. Spend 2 minutes naming one next step: try this, bend that, add onion, remove the red switch. Finish with 10 min to regroup, chat, and encourage. If nobody presents, brainstorm from the prompt questions. There are no bad ideas; brainstorming could lead to the next great invention, cure, world-famous story, or best pizza ever.
Welcomes the room and opens the five-minute check-in.
Gently signals when focused work and check-out begin.
Wraps up the room and makes sure everyone gets a final word.
